Exp H2 Generator System
Hydrogen
On Demand
The ATEX and IECEx certified Hydrogen Generator delivered by H2-Supply, builds on proven robust method of “on demand” hydrogen production for supply to Gas Chromatographs as carrier gas and/or fuel gas to GC’s FID/FPD detectors.
Replace Gas Bottles
The Purpose
The purpose of Exp Hydrogen gas Generator System, is to replace gas bottles and deliver ultra-high purity hydrogen (99.99999%), for use as carrier gas, to online Gas Chromatographs, in hazardous areas where 50L Hydrogen or Helium gas bottles are used.
This has an impact on the following;
- HSSE: Health, safety, security and environment.
- COSTS, for the purchase, transportation and replacement of hydrogen.
- RISKS associated with transport, lifting, and storing large amounts of hydrogen.
Hydrogen on demand, up to 1300 ml/min
Ultra high purity hydrogen generators delivered by H2 Supply, are designed as non hazardous alternative to high-pressure hydrogen cylinders. Deionized water, pressurized air and an electrical supply is all that is required to generate hydrogen.
- Suitable for zone 1 Ex installation
- Eliminates hydrogen cylinders
- Produce a continuous supply of 99.99999% pure hydrogen
- Designed to run 24 hours a day
- Compact, reliable and minimal maintenance
- Automatic water fill
- Available with remote networking software
The Exp H2 Generator is the only Hydrogen Generator for use in explosive environment with this capacity.

Comparisation
Gas Bottles vs H2 Generator
No need for high pressure gas bottles on site
Normally gas bottles have approx. 200 Barg pressure
No need for transportation & Lifting of heavy gas bottles through site.
Weight of 50L gas bottle is approx. 70 kg
No need for exchanging gas bottles frequently
Carrier gas bottles needs to be exchange every 14 days
No need for storage of high amount of gas in hazardous area
Gas bottles with 200 Barg pressure contains approx. 10 000L gas
